Corpus Christi Parish’s Social Concerns Committee will hold A Taste of Italy homemade pasta and meatball dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at Immaculate Conception Church Hall, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 12 and younger. The public is invited to eat in or take out. For information or to purchase tickets, call 570-654-2753. The pasta dinner includes handmade sauce and meatballs with pasta, salad with a choice of homemade dressings, Italian bread, homemade cannoli and beverages all served in a festive, relaxing atmosphere to the sounds of traditional Italian music. Diners are invited to bring their own wine to accompany the meal. Proceeds will be used by the parish’s Social Concerns Committee, a ministry of volunteers who recognize and answer the needs of the elderly, children and families in our local community who may be struggling.
