Pittston Area’s intermediate and primary centers have begun offering selections from their new breakfast carts in October.
Students have the option of taking part in the traditional breakfast program in the cafeterias, featuring hot and cold breakfast options, or they can visit the breakfast cart and choose a grab and go breakfast option, such as whole grain breakfast bars, cinnamon rolls, bagels and muffins. Fresh fruit, juice and milk also will be included. Breakfast for all grade levels is $1.20; 30 cents for reduced breakfast. Free breakfast is available for those who qualify.
The breakfast cart is available at the primary center and intermediate center at 8:30 a.m.
The high school also offers a second chance breakfast in the cafeteria after first period.
