All students entering kindergarten for the 2019-20 school year must be 5 years old by Aug. 31.

Access the registration site at and complete all required information by Aug. 13 (preferred method). Parents also can return a completed registration packet and copies of required documentation to the administrative office, 5 Stout St., Pittston, by Tuesday, Aug. 13. Registration packets also can be picked up at the administrative office if necessary.

The kindergarten screening process will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 14 at the Martin F. Quinn Pittston Area Primary Center, Rock Street, Hughestown.

A parent or guardian must bring the student to the primary center. Each child will receive hearing and vision screening. Lastly, immunization history will be reviewed during the kindergarten screening. The following immunizations are required: four doses of diphtheria and tetanus vaccine (one dose administered on or after the fourth birthday); three doses of polio vaccine; three doses of hepatitis B vaccine; two doses of measles, mumps and rubella; two doses varicella vaccine (chicken pox) or proof of the disease.
