The seventh grade class of Wyoming Area Catholic School recently researched people who have fought for human dignity. The project required each student to design a cereal box that educated their classmates about his or her assigned human rights champion. The box displayed biographical information, “ingredients” or characteristics of each person, a game and a prize reflecting the cause of the person studied. Students then gave oral presentations to their classmates describing the accomplishments of their human rights champion. As a culminating activity, the students enjoyed a breakfast of cereal and juice at school. With their completed projects, first row, from left, are Kody Olejnik, Jaden Exter, Vincent Contardi, Stephen Renfer, Benecio Carpentier, Shane Cegelka, Michael Casey and Nevin Geiger-Gorki. Second row: Alexis Romanowski, Kendall Hadley, Marissa Miller, Talia Lasota, Valerie Wehrun, Lily Bubblo, Melanie Moran and Olivia Latoski.
